The game could not stop crashing when I tried to make progress, also too bad that it never saved when I reopened the game.
The balancing is terrible: enemies with Electric weapons will one-shot you in the later levels when you're still playing as the Tortoise (even if you upgraded its health to max), and if you manage to get Smooch before Pinky, rest of the levels until level 22 can only have you tank TWO HITS. It also doesn't help that the enemies can also tank up a few hits from your weapons in the later levels, except, they take more than two hits which is definitely fair.
Perhaps the game was better back then, some emulators can screw up the code you know? Maybe? But I'm not sure why it's a theme with most Smokoko games, anyway, I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
This game's Vexation can take a deep breath and blow me.
Otherwise, good game.
Very clean loop, I don't know the exact name of this synth instrument, but it works great in a sountrack like this.
For non-explorable, cramped room level design for the earlier levels, this soundtrack does express a lot more action from the previous titles.
It's a bloody waltz, what can I say.
I like the utilization of the cartoonish sound effects from two/thirds of the soundtrack, makes it more comical, silly even.
The one third of it is just witnessing the GoP in his full glory.
Although do I admit that the first time I heard the pig's squeal in the soundtrack, it kind of startled me Xd.
Reminds me of a Titan robot from SuperMechs, they'd probably call it The BFG. Xd
I always dreamed of getting big on my favourite childhood game, too bad that never happened, but at least I'm happy that it did teach me a lot of life lessons and expand on my creativity even if all I did was make mediocre levels in creative. I'm glad that I was able to replay through all the three main games with my cousins during summer of this year, what a throwback that was even if online was taken away from us.
I currently own each copy on each console (plus digital copy of Prehistoric Moves on my PS3) and still have the 'Run, Sackboy, Run!' on my old phone, just bought the last copy of LBPVita at CEX in late May, ultimately completing my collection.
I'm proud to be an LBP fan, even the franchise is on life support, hoping for the next big title to arrive soon in the future.
I too have played every game in the franchise. The only way now if I wanna go back and play both LBP1 & 2 is through emulation since I no longer have a PS3, and Sony just says "Freak All" to PS3 backwards compatibility for PS4.
"Yeah! We're Sonic Heroes!"
I love this trio, definitely expected something like that to be made. :D
Will be working on personal projects now, at my own pace, with more or less for what is planned to be uploaded: I'll make as much as I can before the start of next year's course.
